I had a case in Dec., 2019, my wife in Jan.,2020. It didn't occur to me until some months later that that was what we had had, but I did have close exposure to a patient for whom I actually managed to have virology NAAT done in late Nov., 2019.
Best I can do, no testing was available or done (or necessary) with our illnesses.

Actually, now that you mention it, I do remember hearing a couple people talk about the previous year February 2019? cases, I think it was ....that pretty much went wholly unnoticed, and were only realized in retrospect
