Thank you for this post. My medical school gave us ZERO guidance on dissecting journal articles and discovering potential pitfalls. Everything I learned about evaluating scientific evidence was in surgery residency and it was spotty at that, wholly inadequate for determining which evidence should influence my practice, which now looks like it is designed to be that way. We are encouraged to "follow the guidelines," but who watches the watchers? Obviously our peer review system is not doing its job.

Dr. Rose, this is beautifully written as usual and made a complex topic understandable. Keep up the great work!

thank you. and i am continually horrified by the truth.

Thank you Jessica and also Byram Bridle for calling this one out!

My mental health plummeted just the other day when I was first made aware of this "study". I don't actually want to call it a study either, because it's essentially just a mental game they played with imaginary values plucked out of thin air, from what I can tell.

I saw the hostile nature and the division it was intended to cause. And see the general apathy of those who don't understand. The typical vaccinated citizen.

I feared an imminent witch hunt and felt like I needed to head for the hills or set plans for it. I made a bug out bag. Better safe than sorry.

I have calmed down a bit now. Thank you. Seriously.

10 years ago I would have definitely said, catch me if you can mother f**kers. I was military special operations, fit as a fiddle, formally trained in escape and evasion, small unit tactics and more. I doubt many if any could keep up with me in the wilderness. If I wanted to dissapear I think I certainly could.

Then I developed CFS/M.E.

And now keeping up gentle yoga and walking to the local park is about as much as I can muster.

I do not possess the same confidence in my ability anymore. Especially not to sustain myself for long.

I need a village or community. A small army to rely on. As I imagine many others will too.

The apple tree doesn't eat its own fruit, just as the river doesn't drink from its supply. The flowers fragrance is not for itself, the sun doesn't bathe in its own rays. Living for each other is the rule of nature.

Oh, Conway. Yes, you are correct.

My beloved husband passed away from ME in 2020. He was an Army medic, then Special Forces medic (he deployed), then fighter jet pilot in F-16s. He HATED commies. He also went to med school and did some amazing medicine. He too, could disappear with no trail if he was so inclined. He got hit with ME just before he turned 40 from working in the ER. He had to quit practicing medicine in 2010. I have it also. What gave him an extra 10 years was taking Tenofovir, and then adding Raltegravir about 4 years after starting the Tenofovir. Tenofovir has helped me a lot; it's why I am alive now. ME is a retroviral disease.

Sounds like your husband and I would have shared a lot in common. We share very similar military careers anyway. Although I never got to fly jets. That is very cool.

Sorry to hear about his loss and passing.

ME is frustrating and humbling condition.

Great job, Jessica! I’ve been reading your Substack for a while but subscribed after reading this one. I can no longer contain my wish to introduce myself to you as a fellow soldier in this important war. I also have a masters degree in mathematics with a special interest in Dynamical Systems Theory (I was a teaching assistant for an ODE course that used Hirsch and Smale “Differential Equations, Dynamical Systems and Linear Algebra” as the text). I left math after a masters to go to medical school, and am now a practicing psychiatrist, but have been active in the COVID-19 early treatment movement, offering early treatment to my patients when they are left abandoned to no care by their PCP. You can find my name as author #7 on this important paper by Dr. Peter McCullough: https://www.imrpress.com/journal/RCM/21/4/10.31083/j.rcm.2020.04.264

Thank you for all you do. I’m a grateful fan of your work.

You're probably not alone. This is a great lesson in "how people lie with statistics" except applied to modeling, which is an undercovered aspect of the same academic treachery.

Jessica Rose, how is it possible for you to make applied maths understandable to underlings like myself? Thank you for taking the time and effort. Together we will fight the good fight. My mantra, one person at a time. Sometimes uncomfortable, but hopefully planting seeds of doubt in the sheeple.

Thank you for all the amazing work and thorough analysis you provide, as a Unvaccinated Canadian myself it’s comforting to know we have great people like you fighting for the truth and who aren’t controlled or bought by big pharma.

Bottom line is they will tell any lie in order to vaccinate the control group. As long as we exist, we are a threat to their power. Thanks for being a pit bull on this.

I love this new scientific accountability movement of calling for the retraction of fraudulent papers.

still scratching my head on the 'unvax putting vax at increased risk' craziness. um okay, doesn't that mean that the jab DOESN'T WORK? plain and simple logic here. Vulcan children would laugh (if they knew how ;) )

I can’t read this all right now, but I have read enough to make me angry at the people that I worked for/under/with in an engineering school during lockdown.

All of them played along. And many of them played (modeled) HARD.

I was a math major, but never took statistics or applied math, so I don't understand your equations, but the last point, that they are invalidly assuming .2 probability of immunity when it is closer to .8 or .9 is quite easy to understand, as is the Fisman's conflicts of interest.

You are right that the entire purpose of the article is to sow division and vilify the unvaccinated. Despicably written and despicably peer reviewed.

Given the reality of Covid shot damage, both already occurring and the unknown long term, Trudeau's comments are criminal. DO WE TOLERATE HIM?

Seems like the Diamond Princess was the best Wu-flu transmission experiment. Several thousand elderly passengers mingled on a ship with a population density 50 times greater than Hong Kong's. 80% of the passengers and crew never had symptoms, none of the crew died, and I think just 7 passengers died, a small fraction of one %. This was never anything to fear, anymore than any flu season. Yet the rat bastards at the WEF who control the W.H.O. shut down the world's economy, discouraged early treatments, all to scare people to stay home and wait for a "vaccine" that would save them. But this gene therapy is much deadlier than the virus, which was the whole point. It's so much easier to commit genocide by scaring people to death so they and their kids will eagerly line up to take a death jab than it is to round them up and transport them to extermination camps. Bring on Nuremberg 2.

Jessica, this is one of your most important articles, and I wish I'd been "first to comment" in order to encourage its wide sharing at the top of the pile. I was writing one up myself, but won't bother to finish it now because I can just point to yours (and will).

Modeling is one of the immensely productive things we do with math. It's also one of the ways people can "lie with statistics" and showing how that happens is important.

As I encourage sharing this article...I'd also like to encourage you to make a video presentation. It could be five minutes, but would be enormously effective.

At his talk on Saturday, Dr. Bridle had a slide containing a line about waning vaccination immunity wasn't factored into the model. Don't see it in the study, maybe in the model?

I'm an engineer with a background in control theory and statistical analysis. I've been in cringe mode for two years with all the wild stats going on and appreciate immensely all you folks who take a careful and honest whack at digging out truth.

That stack of equations in Fisman's paper seems to beg for a stability analysis. We engineers often write these in forms that give a matrix transfer function that will inevitably get inverted at some point. What are the eigenvalues of Fisman's model? Of course, going to this depth just to debunk a flawed model will have little impact on readers. Fortunately Jessica found a lynchpin that flipped the conclusion. Maybe Fisman should have added more equations to hide that!

Fortunately, engineers (usually) have to deliver something that works. I'm happy to stay on my side of the fence.

You have done an outstanding take-down of this flawed paper! I see that in the last eight hours, WebMD and News Medical have joined the ranks of the other misinformation-spreading outlets. When the paper is ultimately withdrawn thanks to your and Dr. Bridle’s efforts, I hope that the media will report on its flawed nature with the same gusto as it has been reporting on its mistaken findings. Sadly, I know they won’t.

I know my experience on the ground is anecdotal, but I trust what I see around me way more than I trust any public health official. What I’ve been and am being told is consistently different than what I’m seeing on the ground here in SF Bay Area of California (a very high percentage of which have been injected). Since the shot program began last year, the only people I know who have gotten or get Covid are the ones participating- the v@xed. Everyone around me that is v@xed is getting sick. My unvaccinated friends have and are not. I do, however, know at least four people that have been v@x injured. My story feels like is one of thousands I’ve seen.

Thank you for calling for the retraction of this insidious paper. It’s just straight malicious. And it flies in the face of reality.

also in Bay Area and seeing similar anecdotal evidence. Although in my experience pretty much everyone I know(vaxd or unvaxed) has had Omicron. I haven't noticed any pattern in the severity either.

"Unworthy of life/Do we tolerate these people".

One of this quotes was spoken by a high level nazi referring to the jews of poland I believe it was.1943-4 not sure One was said by a high level canadian politician about some of his fellow canadians 2020 not sure In fairness I assume because he is being supported by many of his fellow legislators they must also feel the same way. Just spreading the weight of it, so its a lighter burden for all involved.

These quotes were said in different times I put them in one set of " marks they are they same quote after all. Maybe the times aren't so different.

I heard 50% + of our legislators our Klaus Swhwab(?) grads, not sure if that is contagious or not, hope not. gee now I'm the one that's scared.

As for the study,

The "health by the month" arm of the major investment firms are simply trying to drive profits by scaring everyone within earshot, I think under the newly crafted legislation its legal, you know for the greater good.

A headline like that (injected vs non injected) is more than enough to destroy families work relationships. As to the meat of it,, doesn't matter its a tabloid read just the headline please, just the headline, really its all that's required nothing to see here move on.. I guess I won't be going to my sons wedding this summer. I wonder if there is legal action here, hmmmm nope they can say anything they want. Its the law.

My friends back to basics time, we are being data dumped.

I believe they (pharma) are feeding us unending documentation knowing it takes time to process this info:

time is our biggest enemy and their biggest friend.

There will be more and more bright and shinny catastrophes to distract and overwhelm. Such as double digit inflation, bankruptcies war, next pandemic on and on.

We forgot WMD bank collapse etc... we dont talk about them anymore and nothing happened to the perps even though WMD lie cost 100,000 +lives and the lie was proven.

time is our biggest enemy and their biggest friend.

does ivermectin/hydroxy work, when did they know who knew who suppressed it.

As they drive home"safe and effective" we must drive

"does ivermectin/hydroxy work, when did they know/ who knew/who suppressed it".

If we can prove that one point everything else falls everything else was WMD

"does ivermectin/hydroxy work, when did they know/ who knew/who suppressed it"

We need to start at the top and go down. Nice thing is the truth is on our side and that one thing is an easy point to prove, easy to sell, easy to prosecute.

As a bonus every politician that said we have to wait for the "safe and effective" vaccine at the cost of 15,000 lives a day is guilty of at least something you decide?????

I don't capitalize canada anymore, where my heart lives.
