Assume that Novavax were suddenly approved in the US and available in sufficient quantities. Would a rush to this vaccine, either as a booster or base vaccine (for many, primarily to get the mandate off one’s back) merely delay the catastrophe, make matters worse or have no effect?

Novavax is a non-MRNA technology vax. Hence, virus will still mutate, it wants to live. We need to get infected with it, get early intervention/treatment and our immune system will be able to fight any variant that will emerge. That is how I understand it.
