These guys are who really keep our society running. We have seen through this pandemic that the politicians can take YEARS off and the only negative effects happen on the odd occasion when they 'pop in' and F#@K something else up - the politicians we can do without! Without our 'blue collar' workers we will not survive.
Thank goodness these guys are taking a hard stand - I have been wondering where the hell all the unions have been this whole time - there are some key ones that could have ended this a long time ago who are not stepping up because they are hoping not to get 'noticed' - but it will hit them also - and when it does they will wish they stood up with the truckers.
So sorry to hear your family's losses. I live in Texas - its a bit more safe for employment than other states. Florida is the best. My federal employer gave me a waiver -they are really good people or I would be in the same boat. Wishing your family better opportunities!!!

My daughter and I are on our way to DC for the Defeat the Mandate DC Rally. This is such great news about the truckers. This caravan of truckers will be joined by everyday citizens too and it will continue until these criminals come to their senses. So stock up on food and get prepared to honker down. Super market shelves might be affected but the sacrifice will be worth it in the end. Everyone was warned this day would come and many will not be prepared. So go out and stock up on canned goods, water, medicine etc.

Reality: 1600 big rigs filled with freedom-loving patriots thundered through Ottawa today protesting the gross overstepping of personal choice by the Canadian government.
MSM: Two VW’s and a Cooper Mini filled with Swedish neo-nazi right-wing extremists protested vaccine mandates today by driving around the capital until they saw a billboard that convinced them that the vaccines were ‘safe and effective’. They then joined a group of several hundred volunteers chanting these new-found truths as they passed out blue pills to fellow citizens.
MSM, later this evening: After the troubling disturbance today by several Swedish protestors, we have some good news to report. 1600 semi trucks arrived in Ottawa earlier today with sufficient supplies to provided all Canadians with booster shots for the next 3 months.
And somewhat of an exaggeration too. Given the speed at which vaccine effectiveness drops, that many trucks could probably only deliver a 1-2 month supply. 🙂
It's old hat here that state media always fishes for the ones whose answers fits the party line the best, and most people aren't media-smart but are instead flattered that someone wants to hear their pet theories.

Today protests were held in many cities in Sweden, completely peacefully. The police chief in charge commended the organisers and participants for their exemplary conduct, much to the irritation of state media and party affiliated bootboys like EXPO (political branch of Antifa).
True to form the state media lied consistently about it. Their claim was "200 hundred neo-nazi rightwing extremists". Reality was more than 10 000 normal people, swedes and migrants, christians and moslems and jews, rainbowflags and national flags and swedish flags.
No incidents. Zero violence. No hate.
And yet all state media, on TV and radio and online, all regime loyal media too for that matter - lies. Do they think it is still 1984 when private ownership of broadcasting/receivers were illegal?

Re: food shortages. Not just supply chains but fertilizer shortage. Not sure what Canadian growers will do. My FIL is a Sask grain farmer and they are being told their orders won’t be filled because the raw materials to make the fertilizers are stuck in China or somewhere.
China has been holding back Adblue -- an additive needed for diesel & fertilizer -- from Australia. They are facing a severe shortage from ehat I've read...

Similar story for the protest in Toronto, normal crowd that is very peaceful. I didn't see any MSM journalist showing up and see no MSM coverage.
Another positive for this protest convoy is an online fundraiser for these courageous truckers raised 1.4 million dollars. Go truckers go.
