I just sent this to a friend, a molecular biologist with decades of experience for his opinion. This is what he said:
I guess anti-vaxxers really could be that ignorant but I have to think it's more of a lie.
Not the correct way to plot that relationship.
The people making those plots don't know the first thing about data analysis.
It's a fucking disgrace.
I admit I don't know the first thing about data analysis, so I wanted to ask, are these plots based on prudent analysis? And if so, can you share your methodology?
Perhaps my friend wouldn't hate me so much if he knew the scientific grounding behind them :S
As a Canadian and totally musically untalented, I keep hoping for songs like Pete Seeger's 1960's protest classics. I have the record "We Shall Overcome"- Carnegie Hall 1963, with reference to Martin Luther King, civil disobedience, and other great fun topics. Some tracks are available on YouTube.
