Interesting point. The focus on she/her, he/him or they/them pronouns, instead of I/me pronouns, seems like it could be an indication of feeling “outside oneself looking in”, which is a symptom of depersonalization disorder and also a commonly reported side effect of most antidepressants.

None of the treatments listed on webmd for depersonalization disorder are drugs or hormones.

Jennie@You articulated exactly what my point is. I feel that the pronouns are skilfully there to put people in a group or collective. It is not to empower the people, it is rather ultimately a form of devaluing. When people are swayed to devalue themselves for the greater good. These ideas usually only benefit certain groups of people. The ruling class can have a greater chance of manipulating the populous with their warped ideology.

The Frankfurt School adapted Marx’s theories on revolution to include Freud’s theory of the subconscious. The Cultural Marxists’ main focus was to reshape the subconscious of Western men and women and thus create new type of person: one who would react passively to provocations of all kinds.
