Well doggone, I just listened to this on my smartphone!
While in Vieques Puerto Rico during the early stages of Covid, a curfew was instated. One could not be out on the streets after 8 PM. One was given a reminder alert on their phone.
Note the mention of “please keep your software updated in order to continue to receive emergency alerts”.
I don’t think these people are going to win. But China is a sobering example to the contrary of that thought.
I watched the Kory/Crispin Miller interview and shared it with my daughter who has a low tolerance for this stuff. It distills and makes digestible a lot of information. And Mark is at the top of his game here with an insane wealth of perceptive tips on how to see what’s really going on with EVERYthing.
Propaganda and smart phones in 2 links. The number of ads that have popped up on my smart phone and laptop when all my wife and I have done is talk about something is chilling. The best story was several years ago we were talking about her bad knees which have since been replaced. Within about 30 minutes she sat down at her laptop to look up a recipe and ads for knee MRI started appearing on the right of the screen. Now they know we have chickens so one ad after another for chickens and chicken related products. The banking, investing, and most communication by phone and/or internet scares me. We have already set big brother up to have all our info. I just love it when they say they monitor us but collect no personal information. SURE!!!
I was unaware that an emergency alert function was on my iphone until I was awakened in the middle of the night by a "silver alert" with the llicense # of a missing person. I was able to turn off that function.
Hugo makes an excellent point about our attachment to mobile phones. They didn't call it the iphone for nothing. It was deliberate, and boy did it work.
It is incredibly scary how addicted we all are to our “smart” phones. I’m not sure I could make it to distant places by car anymore without it! I just zone out and let it tell me where to go… yes it’s my fault. I really don’t want to live in a world that has this much control of us anyway. What was once fun and novel has been weaponized.
I am way ahead of Hugo as I have never had a smart phone, a cell phone, or a wireless phone as they cause brain and thyroid tumors. I never turn on wi-fi either. My iMac and phones are connected by wires. But this means Castreau will not let me into Canada as you must have a cell phone to get in. I may never see Banff , Vancouver, Niagara-on-the-Lake or St. Edward Island. I just learned that my best friend from college, who was fully jabbed and boosted, died suddenly from a heart attack in Manhattan. I warned him about these jabs many times but he didn't believe me, and now I'll never see him again.
I am so sorry about your old friend from college. I have not talked to my best college friend for over 6 months....longest we've gone in 42 years. We had a delightful last conversation but that which is now unspoken between us must have made her unable to dial my landline. I've been holding my breath for 18 months for all but TWO of my loved ones because of the news you have just received.
I may expire first from proper breathing at this rate.......
I too have never owned a cell phone. And I miss going on my yearly trek to Canada. I've been telling people for years, "Get rid of that thing!" Looks of shock and horror ensue.
In ancient times when cell phones hit the market I was living on the edge of a river in a valley where service was unfeasible. Landline and dialup were fine. By the time I left there it was sort of too late to catch up, and there are few occasions when it matters.
If lost, stopping to chat with a human is much more fun. No, you can't text me. We have to plan to meet more than an hour in advance. Not a big deal.
Last week I upgraded my laptop os and had to go through all the system preferences to turn off what's now routinely installed and on. Siri is evil. Siri will connect all your notes and messages and email and online searches for you. Siri records all and sends messages back to apple. Apple AI decides what's relevant. The whole process of tracing and disconnecting Siri's skill set was creepy.
I did a hard reset on my phone last week -all the SUPER FUN updates had me wanting to throttle everyone. I couldn’t access maps through my car without having Siri activated-this was NEVER a requirement prior to. I have to have Wi-Fi on to use maps as well which makes ZERO sense. F$ck!
Yep. Just be careful when speaking to others who have not disabled Siri. I learned that lesson recently. I will no longer speak up in meetings. (I’ll just mail it in.)
Yesterday I heard a fantastic interview with Pierre Korey and Dr. Marek , #112 at Children's Health Defense. Don't miss it. And starting next Fri they will have a weekly show hosted by the great Jessica Rose!
Jessica, I love your stuff and I hate to be a downer about something. I am sure this is wonderful content. But I just do not have time to listen to the (literally) dozens of podcasts, each an hour that everyone proposes I should hear every day. And most others I know are in the same position vis-à-vis taking the mountains of time to hear stuff. Further, some of us are visual learners and listening/watching is just not our thing.
Our plea: for as much as you can run these through an auto-transcriber and post the written transcript, we would be most appreciative. Yes, they are imperfect. But they are good enough and they would radically increase the audience.
I won't be getting any of those scary 'emergency alerts' to 'warn me' of a hot sunny day, a high pollen count, or to spread Convid Cabbage Crapaganda. EVER. Drive out fear propaganda!
To have a 'smart phone' is to be tethered to Big Brother 24/7 - along with zapping rays from 4G/5G.
Hi Jessica, others: I happen to be a chemist--my profession. I was not able to attend the Fall American Chemical Society Meeting recently held in Chicago, because only those showing a "vaccine passport" were allowed to attend in person. Kindly requesting contact information for lawyers now active in these sorts of situations. As my polite inquiries are not getting any useful feedback (that is, politely noting that what they are doing is probably illegal, has no basis in logic, and so on), so it seems necessary to go to the next step, so to speak. Thank you. Just "pile them on" in the replies. Sufficient detail to contact said lawyer(s) is appreciated (that is, a bit more than "just" a name is much appreciated!). Thank you.
I Like some of what Hugo was saying in this video but he falls down on 2 important points.
1st) Snooping your whereabouts has nothing to do with getting emergency messages. They are localized to all nearby phones from towers in the vicinity of the problem.
2nd) We could leave home with less worry before cell phones because payphones and answering machines were widely in use.
I live in the Midwestern US, and yes I've seen all the warts and pimples on cell phones, but the only emergency messages I've gotten have been severe storm/tornado/flash flood warnings - with survival advice - and alerts for missing/kidnapped children or elderly. These alerts describe the person and their clothing, time and place where they were last seen, description and clothing of the last person seen with them and vehicle description if any.
I call saving my ass or that of someone in danger to be entirely appropriate use of the technology.
Based on your credibility and the doctors mentioned, I will check out more of Hugo's videos, but this one was not a good introduction.
You dont get to decide whether you receive those messages. Which means if you are in a situation where you have to be quiet, such as hiding from terrorists, the alert warning about those terrorists will come blaring thru your phone and they will know where you are.
Good point, if true. I don't know if carriers could push it through a turned-off phone or one set on silent ring.
There's possibly an an ADA-like option to turn it off as triggering.
I've read about police monitoring cell phones, but I don't know if anyone can find a phone that's turned off.
Look into that before you need to know it.
Be sure that whatever you find out applies to your carrier, your brand of phone, and the tower system's policy. You may need to ditch, shield or encapsulate your phone.
Also, share your findings - help people who just want to hide from in-laws, not wake a sleeping baby, etc. :)
After watching the entire video I realized that in the US we already have this system on our phones and have for years.. He is also right that you cannot opt out of the official official or important government announcements is announcements.

Flip phones could be a good investment!
Fantastic interview with Kory and Miller!
"Flip phones could be a good investment!"
Not supported anymore.

Steve Jobs, what a hero.

I let myself wander home instead of using Waze. I got here!

Just one man's thoughts.
Make room for Hugo. Get rid of others if you have to.
Hugo was repetitive. We could have read a paragraph in 15 seconds and been done.
I won't be getting any of those scary 'emergency alerts' to 'warn me' of a hot sunny day, a high pollen count, or to spread Convid Cabbage Crapaganda. EVER. Drive out fear propaganda!

He is also on Odyssee. I think it is less censored there.
LOL. Smart phones have batteries.
