One word. Stunning!

p.s. How can one person be so gifted. Dr. Rose, you have a beautiful voice (singing in Aramaic no less) and I was moved to tears. You are a genius and I bet have a photographic memory. You are kind and are so generous with your time to help mankind. You have full on courage to stand up and out when the narrative says otherwise. You got it all! How blessed we all are to share in your experiences. I am jealous in a very positive way!

Wow! Thank you! There was actually a family standing behind me the whole time and they said it was very beautiful when I finished. It drew me out of my shyness for singing. A cappella is hard at the best of times - and especially in an ancient language!

Well said! She is an amazing woman.

Wow, what a beautiful city. Thank you! I’m putting it on my list

Better said than from my pen, too. You were "congested'' indeed, ensconsed in a tunnel. Also--you spend time arranging photos for display.

Hauntingly beautiful. You really are a true “Renaissance woman”.

Absolutely gorgeous, loved looking at photos while listening to you sing in the tunnel

I enjoyed both the same way, Lois.

Thanks for sharing all these beautiful and spiritually significant pics. My thinking right now is that the meaning of life (just my opinion and subject to change) is contained in the Lord's prayer, in the sentence 'they will be done on earth as it is in heaven.' How do we try to accomplish this without unconscious splitting? It would be nice if we could update the words in a way that resonates with the modern mind. There are crosses everywhere in the world. I think we have bypassed the significance of the story of Jesus baptism, though.

I think it's probably about incorporation of the 'selves': the who (the material you) and the what (the higher self/soul). If it is, I also think it's about daily practice to bring focus and awareness back to the self from "moment to moment" in order to try to stay in the "now" (ironically, in order to actually forge "the future") through willful intention and action.

Roisin Dubh's avatar

Yes, intention orchestrates space-time events; it is key!

As above, so below.

But we live in a vale of tears, with disease, natural disasters, human betrayals, etc. Above seems perfect, and I don't see how that perfection could ever manifest in this world where good and bad are inherently part of the life experience. I don't know, was Jesus trying to show us that we can develop the spiritual power to avert natural disasters, such as 'calming the sea' and the power to bring the body back into health instantly? There is so much we don't know.

Jessica Rose's avatar

You are right. I think this world is exquisite for what it is and I am also pretty sure it wasn't meant to be. Most people fear a lot of the things that come with this world: war, disease, death, etc... but I believe that when you simply accept that it's a part of a much larger journey, the fear can dissipate and you can truly bask in the wonder and beauty of this material world. Love is the key. It unites the who and the what.

Roisin Dubh's avatar

Yes, love is cohesive. There would be no Shakespeare if it were all about love, it seems to me at least. We have evolved to experience hate, rage, sorrow, jealousy, etc. I'm trying to reconcile Jung's concept of the shadow, ancient religious teachings, theories of evolution, and the relationship between the physical and nonphysical realities. It boggles the mind.

Agree the sentiment. The world has brought forth those who have desired to subjugate the People for their own misguided, fleeting gratification. We do have immense power within. To be honest with ourselves and seek to connect to what is within is transformative to say the least. The ability to heal is real and one amongst many. Yes, there is so much we do not know because it has been deliberately pushed out of the people for ages. Manipulation and Control by those who would be our "masters".

Be safe and well.

This city has been calling me ever since I dreamt of it; with no prior experience or interest in the city , I had a deeply emotional and vivid dream that I was crossing the bridge at night and saw the minaret in the distance, my companion asked “ what’s that?” and I replied. “ that’s Prague”

Chris Kaz's avatar

Dear Jessica, beautiful pictures!! Want to trade brains please!😆

MBP's avatar

Prague is indeed beautiful as are the other parts of Czechia and Slovakia that we visited several years ago. We loved it there. I have distant relatives whom we visited. Wish I could get dual citizenship but alas my great grandparents emigrated before it became Czechoslovakia.

Very beautiful. Haunting and Sacred at the same time.
