Yes, I quit FB also, the sick psycopathy of it, but left my account there. And I remember seeing that study and being disgusted. It still took way too long after that to finally let go. But as a Trump supporter, my posts were whittled down to about 5 people, so I was at a stalemate. If I went into discussions and began to speak out, people became enraged almost at once. I could do that for a while, but its not healthy or normal. And long time friends would post, "Is your account hacked?" because I had moved from the (formerly) anti-war Green Party, to Trump. Everyone I'd known for a lifetime melted away all at once. It was ugly and helped me to move on to X, imperfect, but inspiring.

so, when the convid happened at the beginning, my partner asked me why i wasn't interested in the injection. i'd stopped all news, including social media sources, in 2016. i did yoga instead and so hadn't had my brains melted. i said 'we eat well, are super healthy, do yoga. if we catch something, likely it won't kill us. flu vaccines don't work, everyone knows that and new medical technology is frequently deadly. and, the most important thing is that it looks to be a manufactured panic, being deliberately done. we have been taught, often: 'in the case of a real fire, don't panic. in the case of a real plane emergency, don't panic. in case of a real earthquake, don't panic.' obviously this is a fake emergency because panic is being fomented. so this is being managed to herd people — most likely to transfer the society's wealth to the pharmaceuticals.' (at the time i didn't actually consider that the panic was in fact beaters herding the humans to be culled. that came a couple of years later.)

You have put into words all the things I have felt about social media and mainstream media. I actually stopped watching television or reading mainstream newsletters because it made my blood boil to hear things being said that are simply not true. I still use Facebook because I have a choice to scroll on by without hearing it, but my friend list is becoming smaller (together with real face to face friends) because some people don't like my anti narrative stance about which I am quite public. And you know what, that is very liberating - if they can't be tolerant of my opinion then I don't need them in my life.
Same here. I use it to keep up with my kids and what few friends I have left are on there, but I deleted the app, so not a daily visit. I used to have many scientist friends with whom I used to work, who have ALL either unfriended me or snoozed me. Probably snoozed as I can still see their posts. And I like and comment on their cute kids. But I believe every single one of them bought the narrative and got the jabs. But as they were all PhDs, and I a lowly tech, they knew better and slammed my posts as uninformed, and after they could no longer argue about the contrary science I kept posting, they deleted me. I truly hope they and their kids live long and healthy lives, but I'll never know.

I don't think there will be any vaccine policies. Was he not clear from the beginning in dissuading people from needing one? His goal was to get the country open asap. I could do that for a while, but its not healthy or normal. And long time friends would post, "Is your account hacked?" because I had moved from the (formerly) anti-war Green Party, to Trump. Everyone I'd known for a lifetime melted away all at once. It was ugly and helped me to move on to X, imperfect, but inspiring.

so, when the convid happened at the beginning, my partner asked me why i wasn't interested in the injection. i'd stopped all news, including social media sources, in 2016. i did yoga instead and so hadn't had my brains melted. i said 'we eat well, are super healthy, do yoga. if we catch something, likely it won't kill us. flu vaccines don't work, everyone knows that and new medical technology is frequently deadly. and, the most important thing is that it looks to be a manufactured panic, being deliberately done. we have been taught, often: 'in the case of a real fire, don't panic. in the case of a real plane emergency, don't panic. in case of a real earthquake, don't panic.' obviously this is a fake emergency because panic is being fomented. so this is being managed to herd people — most likely to transfer the society's wealth to the pharmaceuticals.' (at the time i didn't actually consider that the panic was in fact beaters herding the humans to be culled. that came a couple of years later.)

yes. in the end we had a friend's wife drive us to the boarder south of vancouver. if they would have crossed it they would have been forced to stay there for 3 days because of canada's re-entry policies - despite them being fully jabbed. so, after we were processed - no us officer asked about injection or for masks, we walked across the boarder with our 4 large suitcases and 2 shoulder bags. yes, we literally walked across the boarder like refugees.

I actually stopped watching television or reading mainstream newsletters because it made my blood boil to hear things being said that are simply not true. Same here. I use it to keep up with my kids and what few friends I have left are on there, but I deleted the app, so not a daily visit. I used to have many scientist friends with whom I used to work, who have ALL either unfriended me or snoozed me. Probably snoozed as I can still see their posts. Yes, I always voted Green Party, until I saw them totally fold under the weight of RACISM and Trump Derangement Syndrome. When I saw a GP County Council person saying that violence against Trump supporters was legitimate because they are Nazis - this in a Party of 10 Key Values, one of which is Nonviolence - and very little pushback came up, I realized something had gone wrong with them. Then when someone started calling Greens on an organizing list "white supremacists" and I had to push back, almost exclusively, I realized I was done.
Trump is not a Republican-In-Name-Only or a Democrat-NeoCon. Nor are MAGA. MAGA is made up of Bernie supporters, Libertarians, Pro-Life Catholics, average Conservatives, and now, MAHA.
When you wade into MAGA (now MAGA/MAHA), you actually find real people, not "parties", just like we used to see in the antiwar marches. People not brainwashed, but coalescing around the best hope for a significant change from the dark times we are in.
The Congress is the best summary how Dark. It is literally almost 100% lost. I fear every time I hear "That should be a decision for Congress, not xyz" and I think, NO! Congress is probably NOTHING like the Founders intended and has been corrupted beyond imagination. That's what I think of when you say "Parties". That is the core of that corruption, people utterly sold out to the point where Republicans will RESIGN (allegedly paid off by a San Francisco billionaire) and in such a way that they cannot be replaced, just to damage Trump and the will of the people.

Just yesterday I found myself in a FB "conversation" with a Trump-hater-beyond-all-measure. Her rages about this man were SO over the top that I commented that perhaps she could read them out loud to herself to get some perspective on the extent to which she may be being propagandised. Of course she responded with more venom. So this description of your own journey is valuable to me. I am still on this compromised platform, resisting the censorship regime, trying to perhaps communicate with people who used to be my friends. Probably already "snoozed" by them, or by the blessed algorithms.
The Trump-demonising-woman's responses did make me ask myself why I bother. I have a friend who urges me to vote for Biden (now Kamala) to prevent the loss of Democracy. I'm amazed she can't see how authoritarian/totalitarian the Democrats have become. I wrote back, "We have already lost our democracy under Biden." She rages that the vote is so important and that Trump, if elected, would abolish the vote. Hell, Biden and the Democrats have already abolished the vote by installing Kamala who never received any votes in the recent primaries as our next presidential candidate. Maybe we see what we want to see. I can't forgive Biden or vote for Kamala after Biden urged us to get vaccinated because his patience was getting thin. Kamala also has signaled her intention to impose vaccine mandates on us all.
The popular vote for President wasn't even counted until the 1900s, so how is the United StateS a Democracy? If it were, it would be called The United STATE. A state is a country. We are a Representative Republic which is federated by a central government that is below the States. You know how pyramid structures work? We were meant to be an upside down pyramid. They have flipped that pyramid on us since 1913 and brainwashing people into believing we're a Democracy is part of the scam so you believe everything sucks because you voted for it -- so it's your own fault.

So you think Trump will have good vaccine policies?. I was whining to one of my Biden friends that the Democrats need to run on policies other than "We're not Trump." Although that secures their base. However, neither candidate can win with only votes from their base. I'm quite troubled that Trump is recommending vaccines and celebrating his role in pushing out the mRNA vaccines "at warp speed."
I also whined about endless wars. I want us to help negotiate an end to the Ukraine/Russia war and stop supporting genocide in Gaza. Trump promises to end these wars. I very much doubt he will stop funding Israel. They can't keep bombing Gaza without our support.
My friend replied, "You think only about yourself." Not true. I have 3 brain cells. One is no more vaccines or vaccine mandates. The second one is stop funding Israel aggression. The third one is stop funding Ukraine war because Ukraine CANNOT win. Negotiate before nuclear weapons get deployed and before Ukraine is totally wiped out. I doubt Trump can end wars. Do you think he can end mRNA vaccines? Maybe he can--but will he WANT to do so.?

I don't think there will be any vaccine policies. Was he not clear from the beginning in dissuading people from needing one? His goal was to get the country open asap. A vaccine was commissioned to give people who believed Covid was real some hope. He spoke of HCQ, Regeneron, and Chlorine Dioxide, which was shunned by the media. Anyone who took the vaccine when it came out was either forced via mandates, or too stupid to live... and they would have taken twice as much if he came out against it.
What was Ukraine before it changed its name? Who are The Name Stealers? Where did The Bolsheviks come from? What are they known for? Is 66 Million a bigger number than 6 Million? Why is that a forbidden question?
