Hello you wonderful readers! I am going to be pausing billing for a few weeks to relax on content output. Substack clearly outlines for both you and me what this means. You can find out below.
So my understanding is that my paid subscribers will not get billed in this meantime, but will be able to read content - kind of equivalent to unpaid subscriber status, I think. Similarly (understanding-wise), my unpaid subscribers will have no change. And people who want to pay well, you won’t be able to!
So, if I may, I will relax for a few weeks. By the way for the YEARLY SUBSCRIBERS, if you’re not aware, you can change to manual monthly (or yearly) renewal of subscription by going here and clicking ‘Cancel subscription’. Personally, I prefer manual transmissions and the right to renew at the time of my choosing, so I would. I also prefer manual transmissions in cars.
It hasn’t even been year since I started Unacceptable Jessica. It feels like a century.
If you have questions, please write them in the comments! This is my first time pausing billing on Substack so anything and everything with regard to comments are welcome! Let’s all learn and teach together.
P.S. I have 2 Substacks coming (one on chronobiology and one on telomeres and aging) that will knock your socks off, but they will take me time write. Hence, the pause!
Golly geez guys, thank you so much and I really love you all so much.
Enjoy your well-deserved vacation and take on lots of bodacious waves, Jessica! 🏄♀️🌊
I honestly don't think you need to pause your paid subscriptions. Other Substackers take time off, and it is generally understood that the supporters want them to be able to do so and are contributing to paid leave as part of their support. Plus, you are going to be working on articles, and we understand researching and writing in-depth pieces takes time! Quality matters more than quantity, so no need to feel badly about being quiet for a spell.
