As to who the parties were, or what else may have been involved in the patients' cases ... we really need investigators with interests beyond spreading dramatic narratives. Perhaps there really is an alternative but just-as-dramatic story behind all of this ... either way given the paucity of detail on comorbidities, treatments, environmental health (toxins?) etc of the outbreak areas, 'scary virus' is all we have left. And the question with ALL viruses is the setting that enables scary consequences.
