Here in MA even holistic practices are required to insist on rabies vax. It is more to do with litigation, I believe, than safety. If your pet is not rabies vaxxed and bites another pet, or a staff person, the practice can be sued.
I have a 20 year old indoor cat. My vet cannot treat her further without the rabies shot. So far I have held off, but she needs to be seen occasionally. I have searched for a vet that will take her but to no avail.
The best I can do is request a PUREVAX rabies shot which does not contain adjuvants. Not perfect, but I may have to do it. Just the one year dose.
Laws differ from state to state so many may find Vets than can treat without the shot.

This was very interesting. My husband and a number of others at a clinic he worked at got infected with the virus in March 2021. The Dr of the clinic was ultimately killed by the hospital he was incarcerated at...with Remdesivir, but my husband and others all survived. Two weeks afterwards we went in to have bloodwork done...my husband's ferritin level was sky high...they drew blood immediately to lower the levels. Evidently a number of other people coming through this clinic had the same thing happen...and most of them were unvaccinated. I never got the virus, which later I tied that to the fact I was taking fenben...for 30 days. But also got checked for ferritin levels as I have a cousin with hereditary hemochromatosis, and as another writer noted, is probably under diagnosed.

My niece is also having lipid infusions baby aspirin and prednisone after 4 pregnancy losses.

Between my 1st and 2nd Pfizers, my ferritin levels, while technically staying in the normal range, still shot up to between 3 and 4 times their usual levels, getting back to normal for me several months later.
Can't find full records of my serum iron, so unsure on that one.
